Milan the design and fashion capital of the world is a beautiful city in Italy and is actually the Capital of the Lombardy region.
Milan was founded by the Celtics by was captured by the Romans in 222BC.  This city became the hub of the Italian Resistance in 1943 and is now known for its fashion, design, arts and culture.

Vel Asca Tower is one of the landmarks that must be seen, as is the Peace Arch, which was built in 1807.

Milan is famous for its opera with it being home to La Scala Operahouse, one of the most prestigious opera houses in the world.  There is also Teatro degli Arcimboldi and Teatro Del Verme. Take a night out and have some fun at the opera.

Pinacolecadi Brera is one of the most important art galleries in Milan, though there are so many galleries and museums to choose from. Don’t miss a visit to Catello Sforzesco, Museo Poldi Pezzolli or Museum of the Risorgimento.

Milan hosts the famous Milan Fashion Week, Fiera Milano and Salone del Mobile and is the headquarters to Valentino, Gucci, Versace, Prada, Armani and Dolce & Gabbana.
